AT Pottery workshops are designed for beginners and curious creatives, youth groups and summer programs, families and community organizations, and adults seeking a mindful, hands-on creative experience. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to explore, create, and work with clay in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
AT Pottery is led by Anneka Thomas, a ceramic artist and educator with a strong foundation in both teaching and instructional design.
Anneka has worked with clay for the past three years, developing her ceramic practice through hands-on making, experimentation, and continued learning. Her work emphasizes handbuilding techniques, creative exploration, and intentional process.
She brings 16 years of experience in education, including five years teaching visual and performing arts, and holds a degree in Corporate Training and Development from North Carolina State University. This background informs a thoughtful, well-structured approach to instruction that supports a wide range of learners.
Anneka’s workshops are shaped by her belief that everyone is creative and that meaningful learning happens when people feel supported, encouraged, and free to explore.
